STUDY TO EVALUATE THE ACUTE KIDNEY INJURY IN PATIENTS WITH POISONING

چکیده
Objective: The goal of the study is to determine pattern dangerous material presence in field, as well how severely it affects kidney function and can result death. Methods: An observational patients hospitalized poison ward tertiary care hospitals Gwalior was planned. For data collection a structured questionnaire used, which includes questions on demographic information, details poisoned intake, time interval between ingestion hospital admission. Results: There are 79 instances Celphos poisoning, 157 cases organophosphorus 67 hair dye 58 rat killer 51 acid or alkali ingestion, 28 alcohol intoxication, 14 Ethylene dibromide poisoning. Organophosphorus poisoning has highest number (157), whereas ethylene lowest (14). Except situations acid/alkali where age range 26–40 years more involved, majority serious were 10–25 year old group. Poisonings show male dominance over female dominance. Almost all poisonings deranged renal profile; however, bromide greatest rate (21.4%), celphos (28.37%) terms term mortality. Conclusion: findings that toxicity, dye, prevalent nearby region. Acute damage also detected celphos, organophosphorus, killer, poisonings, with being most common. Finally, had fatality rates.

Risk Factors of Acute Kidney Injury in Patients with Sepsis; A Cross-Sectional Study
Background and Objective: Due to the importance of acute kidney injury associated in patients with sepsis and the impact of various factors on mortality and hospital stay of these patients, this study was conducted to investigate the clinical features and risk factors for acute kidney injury in patients with sepsis. In addition, we examined whether the severity of acute kidney injury affected c...
متن کاملDifferent Biomarkers of Acute kidney Injury in Cancer Patients
Acute Kidney Injury (AKI) occurs if the kidneys suddenly lose their ability to remove waste products. When the kidneys lose their ability to filter, dangerous levels of waste products can accumulate, which can upset the chemical composition of the blood and urine. Chemotherapy is one of the methods used to treat or temporarily reduce cancer by using certain medications. The main task of this tr...

Results: The incidence of AKI was 23.2%. AKI had significant correlation with older age (p-value 0.006) and hypertension (p-value 0.034) . Chest pain and abdominal pain were more common in patients with than those without AKI. Also Mean serum concentration of inflammatory markers ( D-dimer and C-reactive protein (CRP)) in patients with AKI was 1863.6±1599 ng/ml and 66.65±60.81 ng/ml, compared ...
متن کاملAcute Kidney Injury in Patients with Cirrhosis
Acute kidney injury (AKI) occurs commonly in patients with advanced cirrhosis and negatively impacts pre- and post-transplant outcomes. Physiologic changes that occur in patients with decompensated cirrhosis with ascites, place these patients at high risk of AKI. The most common causes of AKI in cirrhosis include prerenal injury, acute tubular necrosis (ATN), and the hepatorenal syndrome (HRS),...
متن کاملApproaches to Predicting Outcomes in Patients with Acute Kidney Injury
Despite recognition that Acute Kidney Injury (AKI) leads to substantial increases in morbidity, mortality, and length of stay, accurate prognostication of these clinical events remains difficult. It remains unclear which approaches to variable selection and model building are most robust. We used data from a randomized trial of AKI alerting to develop time-updated prognostic models using stepwi...
